Tallus is Mammoth Lakes' newest, most luxurious gated Private Residence Club. Situated along the 10th fairway of the Sierra Star Golf Club and surrounded by a nature preserve, Tallus features 19 opulently furnished and decorated estates plus an elegant Clubhouse with a full-service concierge. Tallus is designed exclusively for the private use and enjoyment of its Owners and their Guests.
The Private Residence Club concept was created to meet the needs of discerning families who want the enjoyment of their own luxurious vacation retreat without the maintenance and management hassles that go along with typical second home ownership. This concept also offers owners the ability to pay for and own only that portion of a luxury home they use. Many who find it difficult to justify the investment in a wholly owned second home are enjoying this more sensible way to own resort real estate.
No. Time-shares are typically related to weeks of usage, not ownership of deeded real estate. Tallus Owners receive a 1/6th share of a home of their choice, evidenced by a recorded deed, guaranteed by title insurance. The common areas, including the dedicated Nature Preserve, Clubhouse, infrastructure and road are owned in common.
You own a 1/6th deeded interest in one of the Tallus homes plus an undivided deeded interest in the Tallus Clubhouse and common areas.
Private Residence Clubs are the fastest growing segment of the luxury vacation home industry. Since their introduction with the Deer Valley Club in 1992, over thirty clubs have been developed in such locations as Aspen, Vail, Tahoe, Cabo San Lucas, St. Thomas, Napa and Manhattan (NYC), and over 30 more are planned.
As often as you wish, based on availability and in accordance with the Club's Reservation Policies & Procedures. Owners will reserve 5 weeks of Planned Reservations every year. This means with only 6 owners per home, 30 of the 52 weeks available for each home will be reserved. This leaves 22 weeks a year in each home left unreserved. Owners may reserve additional days and weeks during this extra time on a Space Available and/or Short Notice basis. There is no limit to the amount of extra time an owner can use and there is no additional charges for this use. Furthermore, since Tallus owners may stay in any of the 19 homes during this additional availability there are effectively 418 weeks (19 homes multiplied by 22 weeks) of extra time to choose from.
No. Owners have equal access to all homes of their ownership category (homes of the same design). Owners may request a specific home in their ownership category. The request will be granted whenever possible. Space Available and Short Notice Reservations may be made for any of the nineteen homes.
Yes. An ownership interest can be sold or transferred by the Owner, or sold by a licensed real estate agent through the multiple listing service, subject to the Club Governance Documents.
Yes. Traffic congestion and parking limitations at Mammoth Mountain, The Village and around town always present a challenge for visitors. To provide convenience and flexibility, Tallus will have a fleet of vehicles to provide on-call, point-to-point shuttle service for its Owners and Guests.
